Blogging: sharing is caring, 10 ways to show you care.

Hey Loves,
In reflecting on the reasons which made me start blogging and the few people who said they would support my endeavor I realize sometimes it’s best to leave the memories of a promise where it belongs ……in a frame.

20140203-192940.jpg Before I started blogging, I met all these wonderful bloggers and they would take pictures of me because they liked my style and they would always ask why are you not a blogger? then they would say come on do it I will help you, here’s my card with my number and email, contact me. I must say almost 2years later I have not received a return phone call nor an email. As a result I laugh however it disturbs me deeply….why must we treat each other the way we do? As bloggers we need each other’s support for so many reasons as we all blog for various reasons. sharing is caring and that’s one of the reasons we blog.

20140203-194450.jpg a beach stays beautiful not because no one visits or cares for it but because people are willing to share and care for the beauty which everyone would love to enjoy.

20140203-194811.jpg no one wants to feel alone in their endeavors, people love to know they are supported which makes them thrive instead of feeling as they are the outsider in a clique.
<em10 Ways To Show You Care:
1) follow up when you say you will
2) respect other people so that they may respect you in return
3) hold true on your promises
4) make members of your social groups feel like members not as if they are an outsider in a clique
5) share sales and events with your fellow bloggers
6) speak to a fellow blogger when you see them at an event
7) support and follow a fellow blogger
8) collaborate with fellow bloggers on projects
9) encourage and congratulate a fellow blogger
10) offer constructive criticism to a fellow blogger

As we go through life no matter our circumstances it is often great to know that someone in your circle believes that you are awesome and is willing to help you get to the next level or just check on you to say I recognize what you are doing.

Oh My it’s The Last Friday of 2013

20131227-190634.jpg Hey Loves, It is the last Friday of 2013; I woke up in sunny El Paso with friends, a break from the freezing cold I had to endure in New York over Christmas. No complains however as it was worth seeing my family and friends. Christmas Day with my family was filled with peace, joy and love…..just the way I wanted it. As I get more experienced in living I realize what’s most important to me and it’s no longer multiple properties, multiple bank accounts, shopping trips in exotic places, designer items or hanging out its mostly a quest for more knowledge and relaxation with a glass of wine.

20131227-191446.jpg Today on the very last Friday of 2013 I reflect on all the other 51 Fridays that passed me by and I sigh and I laugh thinking…..of those many Fridays how often was I evasive and stayed in, or how often did I go out and wished I was home instead. Last Friday on my birthday, I had so much fun, it awakened a deep hunger in me, so Today I want to live differently, I am hungry for adventure as I stare at the mountains in El Paso and think of the rich history embedded in this far western state it makes me realize, that I have been too cautious my entire life…..I will gamble with my money in taking chances but never with me

20131227-192401.jpg So with such thoughts I want to put the textbooks aside, I want to go outside and actually want to be outside having fun, to make my life an adventure while I let go of my past and live for tomorrow, chase my dreams, add meaning to my life with God’s guidance I will do so as it’s time to make me happy and live my dreams

20131227-193100.jpg I am ecstatic that I am spending this last Friday in El Paso, Texas….peaceful and filled with relaxation and meditation. I am thankful for the many experiences and the love of God who continuously blesses me with his divine intervention. As I celebrate this last Friday in 2013 with a glass or 2 of Riesling I know I will live a lot more than I have done in the last 5years and I will learn to do more for me.

Reflections on his birthday….donate your unwanted gifts.

Hey Loves,
It is Christmas day, and yes it is his birthday, he gives us a reason to celebrate and have a grand time with friends, families and loved ones. This beautiful day requires so much preparation and then in one day it all comes to a stand still people get together, eat, exchange gifts and observe how much the children has grown.

Christmas has always been pretty much the same for me except that it has been getting quieter each year. It used to be a day of double celebrations in my household a birthday and Christmas day.Β  When life happens sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but either way it may be stressful.

On a day when everyone is supposed to be excited and celebrating there is someone out there (a) who is cold and hungry, (b) without family (c) sad (d) homeless (e) alone (f) dying (g) terminally ill and (h) working outdoors in unpleasant and frigid temperatures. We should all take the time to pray for those people and all that they must endure and encounter during such a festive season. Instead of being miserable because you didn’t get the gift you wanted think of those who didn’t get a gift, those who are in need of basic necessaries and have nothing. Perhaps you should consider recycling or donating the items you won’t ever use to those who will use them.Β

I am truly appreciative of this day I look forward to it as a period of rest, much like all the other holidays I rest and get caught up on my thoughts and plans. For me this time of reflection is truly easy because I have a small circle which makes it easier to manage my time. It’s great to know a lot of people but not everyone is worthy of becoming our family or friends nor produce healthy relationships.Β

So instead of being unappreciative and sulking over a gift, think of those who are truly in need and would love to smile for one minute and just donate your unwanted items to the charities, women’s shelters and not for profit organizations who would love to have those items. Afterall, why not spread some love on Christmas day, it is the season of giving which is why God gave his only son Christ so that we may remember the joys of receiving and the benefits of sharing…Christ is one half of Christmas.

Fashionably Fearful

Hey Loves,
As I stood below the Talmadge Memorial Bridge watching this lovely view on the Savannah Riverfront I saw the little tugboat pushing the big barge and it made me wonder, think deeply why am I fashionably fearful? I wonder and I ponder and then it hits me…..I am not fearful because of me; I am fashionably fearful because of the people who have crossed my path in life and the ways in which they have dealt with me. No, I am not astonished and should not be a bit amazed because I had learned earlier not to expect much of humans as they are and can be very unethical. Surprisingly not everyone is raised with morals and not everyone is willing to embrace ethics in their lifestyle or professional experiences. Point being if Judas could ride with Jesus as one of his disciples and then be a traitor to him….. who am I to expect different from humans? then realize I must let go of my fears, I must be confident, I must answer his call……because I am closer than I think and I am destined for greatness. With such thoughts I am glad I chose to walk on this path, leaning on God for strength in all my endeavors.

20131212-101309.jpg I reassure myself I am stronger than I think, my past is behind me and I am free to pursue happiness.

20131212-101616.jpg As the sun sets and I stroll by the river before dinner my mind is made up life happens and even more trials and adversaries will come my way but what matters is how I will cope so I must work on my coping mechanisms in a positive light not by pulling the covers over my head and ignoring everyone instead I will Believe, have FAITH and lean on God as my rock, my support, my hero my everything.

fashionably brave yet so timid creates being fashionably fearful

20131212-102759.jpg After a long day in seminars to achieve the simple elegant water front look I turned my buckled belt backwards (to avoid clashing with my jewelry), kicked off my work pumps slipped into sandals, let my hair down and went for a stroll before dinner.

20131212-103504.jpg There is a big beautiful world waiting for me…..I am glad that I answered the call to turn away from being fashionably fearful and to serve God willingly and happily.

How to rock the Cozy Coral asymmetrical BCBG Reese dresses…

Hey Loves,
This spring I came across lovely asymmetrically three quarter designed Eddie dresses by BCBG and of course i couldn’t resist purchasing or deciding on a single color so i bought btred which is like crimson red and the blue navy which is like midnight blue. A month later I see the asymmetrically designed dresses sleeveless in coral, ivory and mint….. and they were having a sale. Being a glutton for good prices and the lady that loves being in a dress I found myself at home with two more of these BBCG dresses and yes they are different because the newest ones are titled Reese dresses while the sleeved ones are Eddie…. I had fallen in love with Eddie and Reese dresses by BCBG because of their shape, design, the softness of the material, the ability to go from day to night in them as they can be casual or dressy depending on the event and they can be worn belted for a closer fit or unbelted as it was intended for a loose fit and overall the colors look great……they are just so fabulous.

The coral Reese dress and the navy Eddie dress

When Belted the coral Reese dress looks more like a mullet dress than an asymmetrical dress making it appear transformable. These dresses are amazing and have become an integral part of my wardrobe though I am yet to wear them all I know they will be worn eventually and will stay in my closet forever. This past Sunday I got the opportunity to wear the coral Reese sleeveless dress to church where in i belted it so here are a few pics.

Paired with a dark wine/burgundy belt and shoes spiced up with gold accessories for contrast this simple dress became a hot little number and could have gone to another event after church.

Amarante Wide Band Burgundy belt- Louis Vuitton
Burgundy strappy heels- Guiseppe Zannotti shoes

Thats just one of the many ways to wear the asymmetrical Coral BCBG Reese dress
simple yet transformed into elegance simply by adding a belt.

Until next time thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog, and for my faithful followers forgive me on the days when I am unable to share. This Fall season I hope to blog at least 3times per week.

Twisted, Stripe Affair with a Nude Obsession

Hey Loves,
Two days before a lucky follower will win a fabulous Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry Necklace. I am still in New York and I must say I am enjoying the last week of the summer events in New York. The most eventful part though has been sample sales, and meeting up with old friends and family members. I went out to dinner a few times but that was blahhhh especially from places where you would expect at least good Tapas, i guess with the cocktails being good it made up for the food being blahhhh. Just wanted to show you what I wear yesterday as it seems as if I have owned this Gucci GG hysteria bag and heels for years without wearing them, however in one week I have worn this shoes and bag more than ever so it seems as I have a nude obsession…..because it goes with everything casual in my closet.

20130831-123811.jpg The sample sales were awesome, i couldn’t resist the urge to shop I am talking about buying $150 European designer dresses for $45 1/3 of its value so how i could i resist. It could have only been possible if I stayed home and not venture out into the shopping world, so though I avoid department stores the boutiques and the sample sales get me all the time. So when I get home I REALIZE that I bought mostly stripes and neon colored clothing. It was a stripe affair and I must not have been able to help myself so I was able to mix my stripes with my nudes to create
My Stripe Affair with a Nude Obsession

20130831-125118.jpg After creating that affair i needed jewelry and what do I wear….we all know Traci Lynn FAshion Jewelry so I chose the Twisted necklace, bracelet and earrings with the Rock It ring. These beautiful fashionable pieces are available to you and could become an integral part of your closet also by becoming a Traci Lynn jewelry client or consultant.
